Tanyr here. I totally wanted to write about Friday and Saturday and this is the first chance I have had to sit down and do it. My family went to Pharaoh's Adventure Park last Friday AND Saturday. Friday was was the first time for me and my two brothers. It was Kyla's second time, but her first time was when she was about 18 months old (and I seriously doubt that she remembers anything about that time). Our cheer team's banquet was scheduled for Saturday and my mom wanted to check out the place on our own before having to be there with the team.
Friday was really fun and I got a slight sunburn. I went down most of the slides (one of them hurt badly but the others, thankfully, did not). Kyla and I rode double down one slide that was really dark. I screamed and Kyla kicked me in the back and told me to be quiet. That was the last time I rode double with Kyla. I did go down double with Keanu as well as with Gavin. I rode more often by myself.
Saturday was the cheer banquet. We got to eat at the unlimited pizza buffet which included salad, pasta, baked potatoes, soda, and dessert. I ate a lot. It was all very yummy! The awards were presented after we had finished eating. The cheer account paid for all the squad members to get into Pharaoh's so that was nice. Finally we got to go outside and hit the water. It was fun, but being that it was a Saturday, it was super CROWDED!!!!!!!! Kyla and I went on one slide (individually) that scraped our legs and bumped our hips, causing some minor pain.
We can't wait to go back. We have passes for the entire summer. It is gonna be great!!!
Kyla here.... I so did not kick Tanyr in the back on purpose. My legs are long and I needed to reposition them. Soooooorrrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyy, Tanyr. :)
Tanyr is correct in that I do not remember anything from my first trip to Pharaoh's, although it was quite eventful. My very pregnant mom (with Tanyr) and I were in the continuous river. I was sitting on one of those big intertubes with handles and she was walking behind me holding on to me and the the tube. I guess as we went past my papi, he said something and my mom turned to look at him. She lost her hold on me and I went down into the water through the middle of the tube. My mom panicked and instead of just bending down and grabbing me, she had to jump up and try to dive through the center of the intertube. Obviously I was okay, but I laugh hysterically as I try to picture her and her pregnant belly trying to get through the intertube.... hmmmm... what if she got stuck???? Ha ha ha ha ha.... sorry, Mom.... just funny to think about.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPI!!!!! You are the best and we love you!!!!!

6 - 16 - 2011
Tanyr here..... I think that Kyla and I will blog about anything that tickles our fancy at the time.
Today my mom, dad, and the neighbor are replacing two of the cheap windows in our house. There are actually four windows being replaced. The replacement windows are bigger and more energy effecicent. One new window will be replacing two old windows. Right now there is a big hole in my house that Kyla and I want to jump through. We had to lock our two kitties up in my bedroom because we know they would make a break for it.
This is what the original window looked like (pretty ugly):
Now the center support is out and it is one big hole:
This is the new window. It will look better once it is completely finished with all the sealing and trim, but I think that this has been enough work for today:
WOW! What a difference!!! Oh... and that little oval window that you see on the right side.... it will be replaced also with a pretty window that can't be seen through clearly, but still allows light in. We are tired of having a "peep" window that allows anybody to look into the house any time they walk up to the front door.

Today we are starting our very first blog. We are enrolled in a one-week-long class that teaches us how to blog. Here is a little bit about us:
Tanyr - I am 12 years old. I live in California with my family of six. I love gymnastics and cheer. I like to hang out with my friends. I go to church.
Kyla - I am 14 years old. I also live in California. I love reading and cute animals. I love going to church and serving.
We started this blog because the best way to learn how to do things is to just do it. So here it is. We had to think of ideas to blog about. Here is our brainstormed list:

We will let you know what we decided to go with after we decide ourselves. Have a great day!!!
